Last updated: February 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how our QR Code Scanner application ("the App") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our services. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

We prioritize your privacy and aim to collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide and improve our service.

A. Camera and Photo Library Access

The App requires access to your device's camera to scan QR codes and barcodes. If you choose to scan a code from an existing image, the App will request access to your photo library.

  • Camera Data: We use the camera feed solely for real-time scanning. We do not transmit or store your camera feed on any external servers.
  • Photo Library: We access specific images only when you explicitly select them for scanning.

B. Scan History

The App may store a history of your scanned items locally on your device (using secure storage) for your convenience. This data is stored only on your device and is not synchronized with any external cloud services unless you explicitly choose to do so. You can clear your scan history at any time within the App settings.

C. Device Information

We may collect non-personal information about the device you use to access the App, such as:

  • Device model and operating system version.
  • Unique device identifiers (for advertising and analytics).
  • Language preferences.

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

A. Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. Google may use advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID or iOS Identifier for Advertising) to serve personalized ads based on your interests and to measure ad performance.

3. Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your information and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our local storage.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
