Rapid Proof — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Rapid Proof ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting it.

1. Information Collection and Use

The App is designed to provide forensic video recording capabilities. To function correctly, the App requires access to several device features.

A. Camera

The App requires access to your device's camera to record video. Video data is processed only on your device and is stored in your device's local storage. We do not transmit your video data to any external servers.

B. Microphone

The App requires access to your microphone to record audio during video sessions. Audio data is stored locally on your device as part of the video file.

C. Location Information

If you enable the "Address" or "Coordinates" overlay features in Settings, the App will request access to your device's location.

  • Purpose: To retrieve your current geographical coordinates and/or address to be burned into the video as a forensic overlay.
  • Data Handling: Location data is used strictly for generating the visual overlay during recording. This information is not stored separately from the video file and is not transmitted to us or any third party, except for the geocoding service provider (e.g., Apple or Google Maps) to convert coordinates to an address.

D. Local Storage

The App stores recorded videos and settings (preferences) on your device's local storage. This data remains on your device regardless of whether the App is open or closed, until you decide to delete it.

2. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

  • Google Play Services (for Android users)
  • Geocoding Services: To provide address overlays, the App uses system-level geocoding services which may be governed by the privacy policies of Google or Apple.

3. Data Security

Since the App stores all recording data locally on your device, the security of your recordings depends on your device's security. We encourage you to use device-level security features such as passcodes, finger prints, or face identification.

4. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
