Social Saver — Terms of Use

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Social Saver (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1) The App

Social Saver is an Android application that lets you save public video links shared with you (from TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook) to your device. Link resolution and the video download both run entirely on-device — there is no backend service that receives your links.

2) Acceptable Use

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial, and lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
  • Save, store, or redistribute copyrighted content without the express authorization of the rights holder.
  • Save content from private accounts, private posts, or any content that is not publicly accessible.
  • Use the App in a way that violates the terms of service of the source social platform (TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, or others).
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Circumvent or interfere with the App's security or advertising systems.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to interact with the App.

3) How Downloads Work

The App is provided free of charge. There is no account, no paid tier, no subscription, and no in-app credit or reward system.

  • When you paste or share a supported public link, an on-device resolver extracts the direct video URL and your device downloads the file directly from the source platform.
  • Saved files are written to the public Download/SocialSaver folder on your device, where you can manage them with any file manager or gallery app.
  • The App is funded by advertisements (see Section 6). It does not charge any fees for downloads.

4) Copyright and Content Responsibility

The App provides a convenience layer over publicly accessible content hosted on third-party social platforms. We do not host, own, store, or upload any video files ourselves.

  • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App (including saving and redistributing videos) complies with the copyright laws of your jurisdiction and the terms of service of the source platform.
  • Authorization: Only save content where you have permission to do so — for example, your own posts, posts the creator has explicitly licensed for reuse, or posts where local law allows personal-use saving.
  • Legal Consequences: Saving copyrighted material without authorization may be illegal. We do not condone copyright infringement.
  • No Warranty on Content: We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, availability, or legality of the content provided by third-party sources. Source platforms may change their pages at any time, which can cause a save to fail.

5) Eligibility

The App is not intended for children under 13. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or guardian to use the App.

6) Advertisements

The App displays advertisements (app-open, interstitial, and native video ads) to support free access. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that advertisements may be shown to you. Ad content is provided by Google AdMob and its third-party partners, and we are not responsible for their content or products. We do not show rewarded ads, and there is no obligation to interact with ads to unlock features.

7) Third-Party Services

The App utilizes third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook as sources of public video content that you choose to save.
  • Google AdMob for monetization.
  • Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config for product analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration.

Your use of the App is also subject to the privacy policies and terms of these third-party providers, as well as the terms of service of the source platform from which a given video originates.

8) Updates and Availability

We may provide updates, patches, or modify features of the App at any time. Because the App depends on the public structure of third-party social platforms, individual extractors may break without warning and require an update on our side to be restored. We do not guarantee that the App or any specific extractor will always be available, working, or uninterrupted.

9) Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY GIVEN LINK WILL RESOLVE SUCCESSFULLY, THAT SAVED FILES WILL BE COMPLETE OR PLAYABLE, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE FREE FROM BUGS OR ERRORS.

10) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER(S) OF SOCIAL SAVER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LEGAL ISSUES OR FINES ARISING FROM THE UNAUTHORIZED SAVING OR REDISTRIBUTION OF COPYRIGHTED CONTENT, OR FROM YOUR VIOLATION OF A SOURCE PLATFORM'S TERMS OF SERVICE. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11) Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App, or to remove the App from distribution, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or the spirit of the App.

12) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in your area of residence.
