Tubidy — Privacy Policy

App: Tubidy Last updated: June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Tubidy app ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By installing and using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

The App does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following data is created and stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:

  • Your music library — songs you like, save, or download.
  • Playlists — playlists you create and their contents.
  • Search history — recent search queries you make in the App.
  • Downloaded audio files — tracks you download for offline playback, saved in the App's private storage.
  • App settings — preferences such as language, playback settings, and Wi‑Fi‑only download options.
  • Credits balance — the in-app credit counter used for downloads.

You can clear this data at any time by deleting items inside the App, clearing the App's storage from Android Settings, or uninstalling the App.

1.2 Usage and Diagnostic Information (Firebase)

The App uses Google Firebase services to understand how the App is used and to keep it stable:

  • Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous usage events such as songs played, searches performed (including the search text), downloads started/completed, playlists created, credits earned/spent, and screens opened. These events may include content identifiers (e.g. video IDs, song titles, artist names) but are not linked to your real-world identity.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic data (device model, operating system version, and stack traces) so we can fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Push Notifications) — if you grant notification permission, the App receives a push token to deliver notifications (for example, credit gifts and announcements). You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Firebase processes data as described in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

1.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including rewarded ads you can watch to earn in-app credits. Google's advertising SDK may collect and use device identifiers and advertising data to serve and measure ads. You can learn more and manage ad personalization here:

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide core features: playback, search, library management, playlists, and offline downloads.
  • Deliver and measure advertisements and the rewarded‑ads credit system.
  • Send optional push notifications (only with your permission).
  • Diagnose crashes and improve the stability and performance of the App.
  • Understand aggregate usage trends to improve features.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Device Permissions

The App requests only the permissions it needs to function:

Permission Why it is used
Internet / Network access Stream music, fetch search results, download tracks, load ads, and use Firebase services.
Foreground service / Media playback Continue audio playback and show playback controls in the notification while the App is in the background.
Wake lock Keep audio playing without the device sleeping.
Post notifications Show the playback notification and, if you allow it, push notifications.

The App does not request access to your device's stored media, photos, contacts, location, microphone, or camera, and it does not scan music files already on your device.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your information with third parties except:

  • Service providers that operate the features above — Google Firebase (analytics, crash reporting, messaging, remote config) and Google AdMob (advertising).
  • Legal requirements — if required by applicable law or valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

  • Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
  • Analytics and crash data retained by Firebase follow Google's standard retention policies.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Your Choices

  • Notifications — enable or disable in your device's notification settings.
  • Advertising — manage ad personalization via your Google account and device ad settings.
  • Local data — clear it in‑app, via Android's "Clear storage" option, or by uninstalling the App.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
