App: Tubify (com.mobiventura.music.tubify)
Developer: Mobiventura
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Tubify app for Android ("the App") collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. The App is published by Mobiventura ("we", "us").
The App does not require an account or sign‑in. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other directly identifying information, and we do not operate our own servers: everything described below is either stored on your device or handled by the services described in this policy.
1. Information the App Handles
1.1 Stored on Your Device
The following is created and kept on your device. It is never uploaded to us:
- Your library — songs you like, playlists you create and their contents, and the list of songs you have downloaded.
- Recently played — songs you have started playing.
- Search history — your recent search queries. You can delete them in the App.
- Downloaded audio files — tracks downloaded for offline listening are saved as regular audio files in your device's public Music/Tubify folder, where other apps with access to your music can see them. They stay on your device until you delete them, including after the App is uninstalled.
- Settings — for example your content language, Wi‑Fi‑only streaming and downloading, and equalizer settings.
- Premium status — whether you have an active subscription, cached so the App works offline.
- An installation value — a random value used only to tell whether the App's data has been restored from a backup. It is never sent anywhere.
If Android backup is turned on, your library, settings and other App data may be included in your device backup to your Google account, under Google's terms. Downloaded audio files are not part of that backup.
1.2 Music Catalogue and Playback
Search results, recommendations, song and album details, lyrics and the audio you play or download come from the online music catalogue the App connects to. The App contacts it directly from your device. To do so it sends it:
- the text you search for and the identifiers of the songs, albums, artists and playlists you open, play or download;
- the content language you have chosen;
- your IP address and standard technical request information, as with any internet connection.
The App does not sign in to the catalogue and does not send it any account of yours. The catalogue is operated by an independent provider, which handles this information under its own privacy policy.
1.3 Diagnostics and Usage (Google Firebase)
- Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports and reports of failed operations: stack traces, the state of the App at the time, device model, operating system and App version, and an installation identifier. For failed playback or search requests it may include technical details of the error, such as the error message returned by the service and the identifier of the song involved. We use this to find and fix problems.
- Firebase Analytics collects automatically generated usage events (such as App opens, sessions, screens viewed, App updates and in‑app purchase events), an app‑instance identifier, your device's advertising ID where available, basic device information and an approximate location derived from your IP address. The App also tells Analytics which kind of screen is open (for example "search", "album" or "player" — never which album, artist or playlist), whether a Premium subscription is active on the device, and, where Premium is offered, when the Premium offer was opened and from which feature, and when a purchase was started, completed, cancelled or failed. We do not send your searches, the songs you play or your library to Analytics. Where advertisements are shown, Analytics also receives advertising revenue events: the ad's format and placement (for example "native, search") and its estimated value in micro‑units of a currency, as reported by the advertising SDK. These events never include the song or the search involved. Analytics also receives events recording when a full‑screen ad was skipped (with the reason, such as "music playing" or "daily cap") or closed and the app was left right away, and a label saying whether full‑screen ads are enabled for the device; these carry no content identifiers either.
- Firebase Remote Config downloads configuration values for the App (for example which features are currently offered). To do so it uses an installation identifier and basic information such as country, language, time zone and App version.
Google processes this data as described in its Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). We do not link it to your real‑world identity.
1.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)
For users without an active Premium subscription, the App includes Google's advertising SDK (Google AdMob), which may load and display advertisements. When it runs, the SDK may collect your device's advertising ID and app set ID, your IP address (and an approximate location derived from it), device information, your interactions with ads, and diagnostic data, and it may use identifiers and similar technologies stored on your device. Google and its advertising partners use this data to serve, measure and personalize ads and to prevent fraud.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App uses Google's consent tool to ask for your consent before the advertising SDK is used for personalized advertising.
You can review or withdraw your choice at any time in the App under Settings › Privacy › Ad preferences.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID and limit ad personalization in your device's settings, and manage Google ad settings at https://myadcenter.google.com.
1.5 Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Where a Premium subscription is offered, it is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The App receives only the status of your purchase, which it uses to unlock Premium features and to restore them on another device signed in to the same Google account.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above only to:
- provide the App's features: search, playback, your library and playlists, and offline downloads;
- unlock and restore Premium features where you have purchased them;
- load, display and measure advertisements for users without Premium;
- diagnose crashes and failures and improve the App's stability;
- understand aggregate usage trends so we can improve features.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Device Permissions
| Permission |
Why it is used |
| Internet, network state |
Search and stream music, download tracks, and use the Google services named in this policy. |
| Foreground service (media playback, data sync) |
Keep audio playing with controls in the notification while the App is in the background, and finish downloads you started. |
| Wake lock |
Keep playback and downloads running while the screen is off. |
| Notifications |
Show the playback notification and download progress. The App does not send marketing notifications. |
| Modify audio settings |
Apply the equalizer to the App's own playback. |
| Google Play billing |
Offer and restore the Premium subscription. |
| Install referrer |
Used by Firebase Analytics to learn how the App was installed (for example from Google Play). |
| Advertising ID, ad services |
Used by the Google AdMob SDK to serve and measure ads. |
| Basic phone state |
Declared by the Google AdMob SDK. It gives access only to basic information about the device's telephony capabilities — not to your phone number, calls or contacts. |
The App does not access your photos, contacts, location (GPS), microphone or camera, and it does not scan music files already on your device.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with other companies for their own purposes. Information leaves your device only in these ways:
- To service providers working on our behalf — Google, as the provider of Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config), AdMob (advertising) and Google Play (billing), as described above;
- To the online music catalogue, when you use it — your searches and the songs you open, play or download are sent to the catalogue to deliver them to you, as described in "Music Catalogue and Playback";
- Where required by law — if required by applicable law or valid legal process.
5. Retention and Deletion
- Data on your device stays until you delete it in the App, clear the App's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the App. Downloaded audio files in the Music/Tubify folder stay until you delete them.
- Data held by Google is kept according to Google's retention policies and the data retention settings of the App's Firebase project.
- Because the App has no accounts and we do not operate servers, we hold no copy of your data and cannot identify which data held by Google belongs to you, so we cannot delete it on request. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings, which disconnects future data from past data, and manage data Google holds about you at https://myaccount.google.com. Questions about this policy can be sent to the address below.
6. Security
Connections to the music catalogue and to Google's services are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Data on your device is protected by Android's app sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App has no accounts, we cannot identify an individual user's data; if you have concerns, contact us at the address below.
8. Your Choices
- Advertising — see "Advertising" above for consent, your advertising ID and ad personalization.
- Notifications — control playback and download notifications in your device's notification settings.
- Local data — delete items in the App, clear the App's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the App; delete downloaded files from the Music/Tubify folder at any time.
- Backup — turn off Android backup for the App in your device settings if you do not want App data in your device backup.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
