Tuniva MP3 Music Downloader — Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tuniva (the "App") handles information when you use it. We are committed to protecting your privacy while providing a high-quality music streaming and download experience.

Summary

  • The App is a music search, streaming, and offline download tool.
  • The App does not collect or store your personal details (name, email, etc.) on our servers.
  • The App uses third-party services (Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics) for monetization and performance monitoring.
  • All user-generated content (playlists, downloaded tracks) is stored locally on your device.

1) Information We Collect

We do not collect "Personally Identifiable Information" (PII). The App does not require you to create an account. It does not request or collect identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.

However, the App collects non-personal technical data through third-party services (see Section 7) to provide core functionality, analyze performance, and serve advertisements.

2) Data You Provide

While using the App, you may create playlists and download tracks for offline listening.

  • Storage: Playlists and downloaded track metadata are stored in a local database on your device. Downloaded MP3 files are saved to your device's local storage (typically in a dedicated "Tuniva" folder under the Music directory).
  • Transmission: This data is never transmitted to our servers. It remains fully under your control on your physical device.

3) Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions to function correctly:

Permission Purpose
Internet / Network State Searching for music and streaming audio.
Storage (Read/Write) Saving downloaded MP3 files and reading them for offline playback.
Foreground Service Keeping music playback active while the App is in the background.
Wake Lock Preventing the device from sleeping during active playback.
Background Audio Continuing music playback when the screen is locked.

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, precise GPS location, or contacts.

4) How We Use Information

Technical usage data (via Firebase) is used strictly for:

  • Monitoring app crashes and performance.
  • Understanding which features are used most to improve the user experience.

5) Data Storage and Retention

All data you generate (playlists, settings) is stored on your device only. It remains until you:

  1. Delete it within the App.
  2. Clear the App's storage via system settings.
  3. Uninstall the App.

Downloaded MP3 files are standard audio files. You can manage, move, or delete them at any time using your device's file manager.

6) Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information because we do not collect it. We only share non-personal, technical data with the service providers listed below.

7) Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements (interstitial and rewarded ads). AdMob may collect certain non-personal data (such as advertising IDs and interaction data) to serve relevant ads. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for more details.

Google Firebase Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., session length, screen views, feature interactions). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. It is used exclusively to improve the App's quality and stability.

8) Children's Privacy

The App is not designed to collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal data from any user regardless of age, we do not knowingly collect or maintain information from children under 13.

9) Security

Because we do not store personal data on our servers, your identity is not at risk from a server-side data breach. Your locally stored data and files are protected by your device's own security features (biometrics, PIN, encryption).

10) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above.
